Public Advocate Gotbaum Statement on SURR School Closings
"It's disappointing to see that the State has sided with the Department of Education in allowing schools to be shut down without the opportunity to make improvements. We owe it to our kids and our communities to provide them with a stable school environment. The DOE told struggling schools they would get a chance to do better, but clearly that's not the case."
